Meaningful Work in Oldonyowas

My most memorable experience in Tanzania was working [in the] village of Oldonyowas.  The people there were incredible; they were so enthusiastic and cooperative.  I spent two weeks there and both the primary school students and the community group members seemed to really appreciate me (as an American and guest in their village) being there.  It was so rewarding to teach them and answer their intelligent questions.  There were some villages that had dealt with other organizations that pay them to come to workshops so sometimes villagers are reluctant to come for free, but in Oldonyowas they were truly interested in our work and what we’re doing.
